Relationships are my jam. I counsel young adults and couples who are navigating conflict, communication issues, betrayal, emotional detachment, depression and anxiety. I believe in the power of teamwork and relationships on our emotional and mental health. My therapy style is about connection, cooperation, and the healing of old wounds and past hurts that affect current behaviors. If you are stressed-out, underperforming, or ‘just plain exhausted’ I can help you bounce back from anxiety, self-doubt, imposter syndrome, depression, performance slumps and burnout.
I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method for premarital and marital couples at decision points in their lives. I also work with athletes and teams for optimal sports performance. My training includes Trauma Informed Interventions, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic attachment based therapy.
Relationship therapy isn’t just for couples dating or married people. It is helpful for everyone – teams, people in ENMRs, siblings dealing with family issues, coworkers and business partners. Everybody deserves the opportunity to be heard and the chance to move forward. Email me today and we can begin on the path of healing together.
If you are interested in discussing how we can work together, feel free to contact me either by email at bret@relationship-center.com, or by phone (757) 788-2800, extension 618.
