I understand struggle and I have come to know that where there is a will, there is a way. Life is difficult and brings many changes that can be unsettling for us all. My decision to be a counselor came from wanting to be the support people need during difficult moments. I believe that everyone holds the answers within, I trust that “gut feeling”, the voice within we sometimes ignore. Sometimes individuals seeking help need someone to remind them simply “you got this”. Together we will focus on emotional healing, and start the process of restoring hope and confidence. I have training in Couples Counseling and Brainspotting.
Being an immigrant from Guatemala, I am culturally aware and embrace all our differences and disabilities. It’s common to feel alone when dealing with life’s difficulties. Trust me, you are not alone. In our work together, I won’t tell you what to do. I work with you, alongside you and will listen to you so you know your voice matters.
With me you will find a safe place to share struggles and feel supported. I will gently guide you to work through life transitions and relationship difficulties. I balance learning and growth with humor. Please note, I offer evening and weekend hours and would be honored to work with you or your family.

Insurance
Evelin currently accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield for Virginia residents. If Evelin does not accept your insurance and you prefer to use your insurance, she will be considered an out-of-network provider. You will be charged the private pay rates and will be provided with a receipt for services that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
