My Approach
From the outside, it looks like you have it all together. But on the inside? You’re stressed, overwhelmed, and hitting a wall of “what do I do now?” If your relationship is fracturing after decades together, or if life has thrown you a curveball you didn’t see coming, I’m here to help you find a way forward.
“Healing is about finding a way forward when the old paths no longer work.”
My style is direct, goal-directed, and grounded in a 40-year career spanning medical hospitals, military agencies, and inpatient psychiatric care. I will tell you exactly what I see — but you are always in the driver’s seat.
My Clinical Specialized Tools
I use a mix of the most effective, evidence-based tools to help you get unstuck:
- Advanced EMDR: Think of this as a way to clear the “emotional debris” of the past. Whether it’s a late-stage betrayal or long-buried pain, EMDR helps take the sting out of the memories that keep you reactive today.
- Grey Divorce & Mid-Life Transitions: Ending a marriage after 20 or 40 years is different than a divorce in your 20s. I specialize in helping women and men navigate the unique identity shifts, social changes, and grief that come with starting over later in life.
- Caregiver Support & Chronic Illness: Caring for a spouse or an aging parent is one of the hardest jobs there is. I provide a safe space to talk about the exhaustion, resentment, and “quiet grief” that happens when illness changes the person you love.
- Military Families & PTSD: As a published author on deployment and family trauma, I have a deep heart for our military community. I understand how service-related stress ripples through the whole family.
Who I Work With
- Individuals in Mid-to-Late Life: Navigating empty nests, retirement, or the “now what?” phase of life.
- Caregivers: Those who have spent years taking care of everyone else and are finally ready to be taken care of themselves.
- High-Pressure Professionals: Helping you bridge the gap between your public success and your private struggles with stress or addiction.
- Couples & Families: Fixing the communication gaps and healing the ruptures that keep you feeling disconnected at home.
Next Step
You’ve spent so much of your life taking care of everyone else. I’m a wife, mother, and grandmother. I understand what that weight feels like from the inside, not just the clinical side. I bring that real-world perspective into the room alongside 40 years of clinical training.
It’s okay to have someone in your corner now. Reach out today, and let’s take that first step together.
