“The body holds the blueprint for healing. My work is helping you read it.”
Hi, I’m Meaghan!
Resident in Counseling & Somatic Therapist in Norfolk, VA
I believe that the body isn’t just where our stress lives—it’s where our healing begins.
I’m a Resident in Counseling and wellness educator with over twenty years of experience sitting with people through their most tender chapters. My work sits at the intersection of modern neuroscience and ancient somatic wisdom. If you’ve ever felt like “talking about it” isn’t enough to actually change how you feel, you’re in the right place.
The Body Holds the Blueprint
Before earning my clinical credentials, I spent two decades owning a yoga studio and studying the quiet intelligence of the breath and the nervous system. Today, I blend that deep somatic history with advanced, brain-based therapies to help you move past anxiety, grief, and trauma.
How we work together is different than traditional talk therapy:
- Internal Family Systems (IFS): We’ll get to know the different “parts” of you—the inner critic, the protector, the one that feels overwhelmed—so they no longer have to run the show.
- Brainspotting: We use the brain’s natural subcortical processing to find and release stored trauma that words often can’t reach.
- Somatic Integration: Drawing on my 20 years as an E-RYT 500 yoga educator, I help you learn to track sensations and regulate your nervous system in real-time.
- Neurocounseling: I’ll help you understand the why behind your brain’s responses so you can finally interrupt the patterns that no longer serve you.
A Space for Your Whole Self
Whether we are navigating complex trauma or exploring the spiritual side of life through astrology and energy healing, my approach is warm, intuitive, and deeply client-centered. I want you to feel more than just “better”—I want you to feel at home in your own skin.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll likely find me on my yoga mat, walking through Norfolk with my husband and our dog, or curled up with our cats. That groundedness is the energy I bring into every session with you.
