This Isn’t About Me. It’s About YOU.
In my sessions, your goals take center stage. Everyone deserves happiness and success, but my training and credentials only matter if they help you find a path forward. Whether you are navigating a high-pressure professional role, managing the complexities of a professional family, or feeling the weight of career burnout, I am here to help you move from surviving to thriving.
Bridging Clinical Insight & Actionable Strategy
What makes my approach unique is my dual expertise as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). I work with you on several levels simultaneously:
- Disability & Career Navigation: Drawing on my background in vocational rehab, I help you find your “why” and “how,” transforming your relationship with career obstacles or disability-related concerns.
- Deep Transformation: Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and evidence-based strategies, I help you understand yourself at a core level, where lasting change actually happens.
- Professional & Executive Support: I specialize in helping individuals in demanding professional roles navigate burnout, perfectionism, and the physical and mental fatigue of high-stakes environments.
- Relationship & Family Expertise: I help couples and families lean into vulnerability to repair emotional disconnection, improve intimacy, and resolve long-standing conflict.
Two Decades of Service in Western New York
I’ve spent the last twenty years dedicated to the WNY community, including a decade at the University at Buffalo (UB) and years of service at Erie Community College (ECC) within the disability and counseling offices. My journey has taken me from crisis intervention and veteran services to helping individuals in the criminal justice system.
I believe in “keeping it real.” I bring the discipline of my martial arts training (Kung Fu, Karate, and Aikido) into the therapy room—not as a lecturer, but as a “natural sherpa.” I’ll guide you through the mountains of your emotional struggle with compassion, insight, and zero judgment.
Life Beyond the Sofa
When I’m not in my Orchard Park office or meeting with clients via telehealth across New York, you’ll find me with my wife and our four young children. I’m a self-professed nerd for comics, anime, and sci-fi. To balance the “nerding,” I stay active in the martial arts community or, more realistically, catching a nap!
Relationship Intensives
For couples or families looking for accelerated progress, I offer specialized Relationship Intensives. These are designed to dive deep and bypass months of traditional weekly therapy in a condensed timeframe.
Customized Planning: If you are interested in a relationship intensive, our Coordinator can curate specific times and dates along with a price point you are comfortable with to ensure the experience fits your unique needs.
