I have worked successfully in the community mental health field for more than 30 years, serving in both public and private agencies as well as in private counseling practice. I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Catholic University of America and am credentialed in Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and in Virginia as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am also a Florida and Virginia Approved Clinical Supervisor and a Board-Certified TeleMental Health Provider.
I bring experience, perspective, and professionalism developed through decades of working with individuals facing a wide variety of life challenges, mood concerns, and emotional disorders. I approach my work from a cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapy model, helping clients identify practical solutions, implement meaningful changes, and experience improvement in the areas of their lives and relationships where they seek growth. I have extensive experience working with trauma, addiction, and recovery, including couples therapy where one or both partners are in recovery or struggling with substance or process addictions (such as gambling or pornography)
My goal is to guide individuals and couples toward discovering realistic options for creating the life they want and identifying the clearest path to achieve it. I am an experienced clinician with advanced training and have developed direct and targeted approaches to help individuals find viable and effective solutions to their concerns.
In my spare time, I enjoy golf, scuba diving, underwater photography, meditation, Qigong, music, swimming, and reading.
