Joel offers experience, perspective and professionalism from years of working with people experiencing a wide variety of life challenges, problems, mood and emotional disorders. He views and works with these issues from a cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapy model, helping people find solutions, make changes and experience improvement in the areas of their life and relationships where they are seeking change. Joel has worked extensively in trauma, addiction and recovery, including couples therapy where one or both of the partners are in recovery and/or struggling with addiction issues both substance and process (eg gambling, pornography).
His goal is to guide individuals and couples to discovering options for getting the life you actually want, and the clearest path to getting there. I’m an experienced clinician with extensive training and I’ve developed a number of direct and targeted approaches for helping individuals find viable and effective solutions to their problems.
In his spare time, Joel enjoys golf, scuba diving, underwater photography, meditation, Qigong, music, swimming, and reading.
